This thing handles the heat way better than I expected—ran it for a solid ten minutes straight and it barely got warm. The extra length saved me from having to buy a whole new bit for a deep mortise.

The extension gives you that exact extra reach without the scary wobble you get from pulling the shank out of the collet. I used it on a deep hinge mortise and the cut stayed true the whole pass, no chatter at all.
