The 1/2" shank gives this Colonial bit the stability I need for molding small window casings. The profile cut cleanly through red oak without any burning or chattering. Exactly the right profile for authentic interior trim.

I was a little nervous about the profile being too small, but it cut through a piece of poplar like butter and left a perfectly crisp ogee edge. This bit gives my cabinet doors that exact Colonial Williamsburg look I was hoping for.

The profile on this bit is sharp enough to produce crisp colonial molding details right out of the box. I just wish the cut felt a tiny bit smoother on the final pass, but sanding fixed it easily.
