I was nervous about the profile depth, but this bit cut cleanly through hard maple without any burning—the carbide tips made all the difference.

Took a chance on this bit for a reproduction side table I’m building, and the 1/2" shank felt rock-solid even through hard maple. The molding profile has that crisp, period-correct depth you’d expect from a Colonial Williamsburg-inspired piece, and the cut came out clean with zero tear-out.

I finally used this bit to cut a waist molding for a side table, and the Colonial Williamsburg-inspired profile came out sharp and clean in white oak. The 1/2-inch shank ran smoothly through my router table without any vibration.
