I was a bit skeptical about how much difference a dedicated head could make, but the way it grips my 1/2" chisel without any wobble is night and day. The flat clamping surface really locks everything in place for consistent bevels.

Finally, I can sharpen my narrow carving chisels without them wobbling. The magnetic steel plate locks them in place securely, and it took less than a minute to set up.

I was skeptical about getting a perfect angle on thin plane blades, but this head made the setup dead simple. The clamping mechanism holds firmly without slipping, even on my smallest chisels. It's noticeably more stable than the standard guide.
