The squared corners come out absolutely perfect with this—just press it in and tap, no more fighting the rounded edges from the router. I've done three hinge mortises this afternoon and each one needed barely any cleanup.

I was tired of chisels slipping in rounded mortise corners, but this one locks in place on the first tap. The hardened tip cuts cleanly without needing much force, saving me time on hinge installs.
