Took these out for a weekend of tenons on some red oak, and the flat bottoms came out so crisp I didn’t have to sand a single shoulder. The downshear did its job on plywood edges too, zero fraying even on the last pass.

The downshear geometry is a game-changer—zero tear-out on the plywood I tested, and the shoulders came out perfectly crisp. Set them up in my router table and knocked out a dozen tenons without any hiccups.

I built a full set of tenons for a walnut desk this weekend and the flat bottom on these bits meant zero chisel cleanup. The bearing rode smoothly along the fence, and the fray-free edges on the plywood panels were a pleasant surprise.
