Solid Carbide Construction Outperforms Inferior Quality Competitors, Every Time!

Our compression router bits are impressive performers to start with. The solid carbide construction provides a long-lasting sharp cut, while the compression design of the flutes guarantees a clean cut on your top and bottom surfaces.. By adding bearings both above and below the cutting flutes, you can work accurately with patterns mounted either above or below the workpiece. We offer both a 1/4" and 1/2"-shank bit to best meet your application. These bits are also great for flush trim work!

We don't cut corners, so unlike inferior bits that are built with a steel shank, ours are true-solid, precision ground from one solid piece of C4 micrograin carbide. This insures perfect concentricity and a superior cut with extended tool life. We tested similar tools made on a steel shank and our true-solid construction ran circles around the competition.

Be prepared for any cut by choosing our 2-Pc set (00-852 ) including both router bits (and save)! Get the sturdy 1/2"-shank 85-940, plus the 1/4"-shank 85-250 for working with tighter radii.

Specs:

  • 85-250, Cutter Diam. 1/2" | Cutter Height 1" | Shank 1/4"
  • 85-940, Cutter Diam. 3/4" | Cutter Height 1-1/2" | Shank 1/2"

Dual Bearing Router Bits Offer These Benefits:

  • They can provide enhanced stability with the dual bearings riding on top and bottom templates. This extra support will reduce the chance of any wobbling or deviations.
  • Dual bearings are particularly beneficial for template routing giving the quick option of running with the template either above, or below the workpieces. This opens up the option for working in a router table, or freehand.
  • Top and bottom bearings allow for more versatility in creating edge profiles. They add greater flexibility in adjusting the depth and angle of cuts, leading to a broader range of design options.

David S. ★★★★★

The double bearing setup keeps the bit dead steady even on long template runs, and the solid carbide edge is still razor-sharp after a full sheet of plywood. Clean, tear-out-free cuts on both faces, exactly what I needed for pattern work.

Matthew ★★★★★

Switched from a cheaper spiral bit and the difference is night and day—these cut through 3/4" ply without any chipout on either face. The double bearing pattern feature made template work way simpler than I expected.

Charlotte ★★★★★

I've been cutting plywood and MDF with these, and the solid carbide edge hasn't dulled a bit after a full day of pattern work. The finish on the bottom edge is so clean I barely needed to sand.
