Category: Clamps & Vises Vises

A favorite of Carvers, Luthiers and Gunsmiths, the Carver's Vise excels at clamping all sorts of unusually-shaped workpieces. The thick hardwood jaw faces are rubber lined, providing a non-marking yet secure grip. Each face can be rotated a full 360°, allowing this vise to clamp from 0”-5-3/4” and spread from 8” to 14-1/2”. The vise body also swivels a full 360° so you can work on all sides of your project without walking around your bench.

This heavy-duty vise mounts easily to any workbench up to 4-1/2” thick by inserting the threaded mounting rod through a dog hole and securing with the included oversized washer and wing nut. The machined, cast iron body, steel guideways, and Acme thread drive screw ensure flex-free and consistent clamping force for the most unusual and hardest to hold workpieces. Color may vary.

Nicholas W. ★★★★★

The rubber-lined hardwood jaws grip odd angles without leaving a single mark on my walnut stocks. I've had curved pieces slip out of every other vise, but this one holds them rock solid.

Andrew ★★★★★

I carve spoons and kuksa cups, so holding curved, irregular pieces has always been a fight. The thick hardwood jaws with that rubber lining clamp down on a rounded handle without leaving a single mark. Honestly the best money I've spent on my shop this year.

Violet ★★★★★

The rubber-lined jaw faces grip odd-shaped stock without leaving a single mark, which matters when you're working with figured walnut. I've clamped everything from gunstocks to curved relief panels and nothing has shifted yet.
