I was a little nervous switching from oil-based stain to this water-based, but it spread just as smoothly and clean-up was a breeze with soap and water. The cabernet color came out rich and even on my oak shelves.

The open time really gave me room to fix a few brush strokes before it set, and it leveled out smooth with zero streaks. Thinned slightly, it soaked into the oak like a proper oil stain but cleaned up with just water.

The way it spreads is honestly the best part — smooth and even with no dragging, and I didn't feel rushed at all while working it into the corners. The Cabernet color came out rich and deep on my oak shelves, exactly the wine-like tone I was after.
