Been using these on my vise for guitar fretwork and the jaws haven't left a single mark on the wood. The magnets snap right onto the steel and stay put even when I'm working at a weird angle. Way better than the tape and cork setup I used before.

The magnets hold tight even when I tilt the vise sideways for filing, which is exactly what I needed for odd-angle work. Only gripe is the covers are a bit fiddly to peel off after they've been clamped down a while. Still, they protect the jaws nicely and haven't slipped once.
