The scribe leaves a hair-thin line that’s much easier to follow than any pencil mark I’ve used, and the tool steel holds its edge through a whole day of layout work. The hardwood handle is comfortable enough for long sessions, too, so it’s quickly become my go-to for marking joinery cuts.

The hardwood handle feels surprisingly solid in my hand, and the blade is sharp enough to score plywood without any tear-out. I've been using it for dovetail layout and it's a huge step up from pencils.

The tool steel blade glides through card stock and soft wood with almost no resistance, leaving a crisp line that's far cleaner than any pencil mark I've tried. It's quickly becoming the first thing I grab for precision layout work.
