Having both straight and tapered cutters in the same set saved me a second order — the tapered ones matched my pre-drilled holes way better than the straight plugs I'd been forcing in. Cut clean plugs through oak without any tearout, and the 1" max length is plenty for the face frames I'm plugging.

I picked these up to hide screws on a walnut bench I was building, and the tapered cutters made plugs that tapped in flush with almost no sanding. Cutting them up to an inch long is plenty for thicker stock. Way easier than the dowel-and-saw method I used before.

The tapered cutters leave a nice snug fit on the plugs I cut from scrap walnut, way better than the straight ones for hiding screws. I've used the 3/8" size the most and the cutters still feel sharp after a whole afternoon of drilling. Finally stopped buying those overpriced plug packs at the store.
