Waveform/Split Circumference Body Design

Unlike traditional Forstner bits with only two scoring lips, Bormax 2.0 forstner bits feature waveform design bodies that reduce friction and create multiple scoring cutters for a cleaner, cooler cut, and extended bit life.

Offset Chip Breaker Cutting Edges

The two main cutting edges feature a staggered chip breaker profile that produces narrow shavings for unparalleled chip ejection in even the deepest holes. The offset design means that each chip is cut every half revolution eliminating the main cause of clogging, especially with smaller bit sizes.

Optimized Center Spur

The optimized center spur ensures accurate wander free drilling in both angled and overlapping hole. this slightly longer than average spur has sharp edges that keep the bit on track while still cutting easily to reduce feed pressure.

Hex Shanks

Each and every Bormax 2.0 Forstner bit features a hex shank that won't slip in your chuck making them ideal for handheld, drill press, and lathe boring applications. Bits up to 1-3/4" will have 10mm hex shanks, and for diameters above this the shanks will be 13mm in diameter for optimal strength.
