No more eyeballing angles on my chisels. The micro bevel shim is the part I didn't know I needed, and it clicks into the guide so the 25 and 30 degree settings actually repeat every time. My plane irons come off the stones consistent for once.

Setting a 25 or 30 degree bevel used to take me three or four tries by eye, but this jig locks the iron in the same spot every time. Sharpened six chisels last weekend and all of them came out square and even.

The micro bevel shim is the little detail that sold me, since I sharpen a lot of chisels and getting that secondary angle right by hand was always hit or miss. Now I just set it to 25 or 30 and every iron comes out dead consistent.
