The carbide edges on this bit have held up beautifully through a dozen passes on hard maple, and the downshear leaves a surface so clean you barely need sanding.

The downshear geometry really earns its keep—zero tear-out on the figured maple I was trimming, and the micro-grain carbide edge held its razor edge through a full sheet of plywood. The 1/2" shank gives it a rock-solid feel in the router, no vibration at all. This one's a keeper.

Cut a dozen oak edge bands this afternoon and the micro-grain carbide still feels brand new, not a single chip. The 1/2" shank held rock steady at full depth in my table router, and the downshear kept tear-out to basically zero. This is the smoothest flush trim I've gotten without sanding.
