My 55-gallon drum setup came together in about an hour, and the 4" inlets handle my planer chips without any clogging. The removable head makes emptying the drum far less messy than I expected. This kit really simplifies building a solid dust collection system.

Hooked this up to a 55 gallon drum with a removable lid and it's wild how much fine dust never makes it to my collector's filter anymore. The 4" ports seal up tight with a couple hose clamps, no tape needed.

The 4" inlet fits my harbor freight collector hose perfectly with just a hose clamp, no adapters needed. Tested it on a full drum of planer shavings and almost nothing made it to the bag — the cyclone really does the heavy lifting. My only regret is not building this setup sooner.
